Development:
Concept: The size of man-made park terrain continues to grow as well as the speeds, size of the airs and impact on landings. The Chronic is the solution to a need for a solid ski that can handle it all with unprecedented stability and agility. There's also a need for this same ski to perform strong outside of the park with the same responsiveness and stability all over the mountain on firm terrain. Thus the Chronic was born.

Art: Since the first model of the Chronic was created in 2003 we've maintained a them of attacking crows for their personality that matches the Chronic's performance of aggressively attacking with precision. We're planning on ending the crow theme this year so asked epic artist Dan Mumford to create a theme that showed them being counter attacked. If you line up a pair of Chronic Cryptonite and Chronic skis next to each other it creates a complete image of the scene….collect all 4!

Engineering: We used a unique combination of freestyle and freeride geometry and flex. The sidecut and stance is directional set back 4-6cm for strong comfortable all-mtn control. However the flex is 100% symmetric and centered for the same performance forward or backwards. The result is comfortable all-mtn handling without sacrificing park and switch riding comfort and control.
